Why the 6-Speed Transmission Ships Separately

Production Timeline & January Shipping Update

Many customers have asked why the 6-Speed Transmission with High/Low Range for the CISON V8 is shipped separately or arrives later than the engine itself.
We’d like to explain this clearly and transparently.

A precision micro-scale component — not mass-produced

This transmission is a micro-scale mechanical model with extremely tight tolerances.
Unlike the engine, it cannot be mass-produced or quickly assembled.

Each unit requires:

  • High-difficulty precision machining of micro-scale gears and shafts
  • Full hand assembly and fine adjustment
  • Functional testing for shifting accuracy, load handling, and durability

Because of the small scale, components that do not meet performance standards during testing are discarded, not reworked.
In many cases, this means parts must be remade and assembly restarted.

This combination of machining difficulty, repeated testing, and material rejection results in a production cycle of approximately 2 months.

Why your Cison v8 engine may arrive first

The CISON V8 engine and the transmission are manufactured on different production timelines.
To avoid delaying engine delivery, we ship the engine as soon as it is ready, and the transmission follows once it completes testing and quality control.

January shipping timeline

For current transmission orders, production is nearing completion.

  • Estimated shipment window: January 7–10
  • Please note that production and logistics may be affected by the 2026 New Year holiday
  • Stirlingkit officially resumes work on January 4, and order processing will proceed in sequence from that date

If there are any changes caused by holiday-related delays, we will communicate them as early as possible.

Why we don’t rush this process

We understand that waiting can be frustrating.
However, rushing a precision micro-scale transmission risks poor shifting, reduced durability, and premature wear — outcomes that don’t align with the standards expected by serious builders.

Taking the time to build and test each unit properly ensures that when your transmission arrives, it performs as intended.
