Every working farm engine had its cart. Now yours can too.
On the farm, an engine rarely stayed in one place. It was mounted on a four-wheel cart with a steering front axle and pulled from the well to the woodpile to the barn, wherever the day's work was. At engine shows today, that is still how the best-loved engines are displayed.
The ST-02 gives your RETROL & OKMO hit and miss engine the same setup. The axles mount beneath the engine's own wooden base, so the engine stays on its skids just as it does now. Only now it rolls, steers, and can be pulled along by its wooden tongue, just like the real thing.
Designed for the RETROL & OKMO B02, B03 and B04 hit and miss engines.
Wheel spacing and mounting holes match these engines, so it bolts straight on. No drilling, grinding or changes to your engine.
Engines from other brands may not fit.
Small Details, Period Correct
Working Steering Front Axle
The front axle pivots with the tongue, so the cart turns as you pull it, just as the full-size carts did when they were hauled across the yard.
Wooden Pull Tongue & Brass Ring
A long hardwood tongue with brass yoke and a brass pull ring at the end. Lift it and the whole outfit looks ready to be hitched up and taken to the next job.
Black Six-Spoke Wheels
Four 60 mm six-spoke wheels in black, with polished hubs and brass-tone brackets, the classic look of a farm engine cart.
Mounts Under the Engine's Own Base
No separate deck to swap in. The axles fit beneath the wooden base your engine already sits on, keeping the original look intact.
Smooth Rolling, Light Weight
Precision steel axles keep the wheels turning smoothly with minimal play. At about 185 g, the cart adds the look without adding bulk.
Display, Show or Workbench
Roll your engine from shelf to bench for running, set it out at a club meet, or simply give your collection a more complete look.
An Enjoyable Hour at the Bench
The ST-02 arrives as a kit, with some parts already assembled. Following the included instructions, you put together the axles, brackets and frame, then bolt your engine in place. All you need are 1.5 mm and 2.0 mm hex drivers (not included).
