How to Use
- Place the coil driver on a flat, dry, non-metal surface.
- Connect the power adapter and plug it in.
- Turn the power up slowly.
- Hold a glow tube just above the coil. It will light up on its own.
- Swap tubes to compare the colors of different gases. Adjust the power for the brightness you like.
Safety & Care
- Keep metal objects, phones, cards and electronics off the coil while it is on.
- The glow tubes are glass. Handle them gently and store them in the box when not in use.
- Higher power settings make the coil run warmer. Use maximum power only for short periods.
- Keep the driver in a dry, well-ventilated spot. It is not waterproof.
- People with pacemakers or other implanted medical devices should keep a distance while the coil is on.

What's included in each glow tube set?
Every set, from 5 to 10 gases, includes the planar induction coil driver, the power adapter and your chosen number of glow tubes, so it is ready to use out of the box. The coil driver is a flat copper coil in a clear acrylic case, with output power adjustable from 0 to 50W. The glow tubes are sealed glass, each filled with a different gas and labeled with its chemical symbol.
How do the glow tubes light up without wires?
The planar induction coil creates a high-frequency electromagnetic field. When you hold a tube above it, the field energizes the gas inside, and the gas glows in its own color.
Can I light more than one glow tube at a time?
The tubes light up when held close to the coil, so you can try several tubes over the coil to compare colors.
Why do some glow tubes look dimmer than others?
That's normal. The noble gases (helium, neon, argon, krypton, xenon) glow the brightest. Nitrogen, oxygen, carbon dioxide and air naturally glow more softly. A dimmer glow does not mean the tube is broken. You can turn up the power a little for a brighter effect.
Why should I keep metal away from the coil?
The coil's electromagnetic field can heat metal objects such as rings, keys or coins. Keep metal off the coil while it is on.
