Product details
A large, real plasma display for your desk, shelf or showroom. A glowing plasma shape floats inside a 166mm or 200mm glass sphere, big enough to be the centerpiece of any room. It's not your childhood plasma ball: instead of random lightning arcs, you get a steady, adjustable glow you can watch for hours.
Choose Your Gas
Each noble gas glows in its own color and forms its own shape.
Xenon
Purple Ring
A crisp blue-violet ring of plasma, floating in the center of the sphere. Available in 166mm and 200mm.
Krypton
Pink Beads
Soft pink plasma beads that glow and drift inside the sphere. A gentler, more organic effect. Available in 166mm.
Neon
Red Glow
A warm red plasma glow, the same color that made neon signs famous. Available in 166mm.
Why You'll Love It
- Big sphere, big presence: At 166mm or 200mm across, the sphere is large enough to be seen from across the room, on a desk, bookshelf, reception counter or exhibition stand.
- Real plasma, not a plasma ball: A classic plasma ball shows random arcs. This lamp forms a stable plasma shape in the center of the sphere. The xenon ring is the same donut shape (toroid) studied in tokamak fusion research, at display scale.
- Electrode-free: An induction coil excites the gas from outside the glass. Nothing inside touches the plasma, so there are no electrodes to wear out.
- Adjustable with one dial: Turn the dial to start the plasma, then adjust its brightness and how thick the glowing ring appears.
- Enclosed base: All circuitry is housed inside the base for a clean look.
- Bright enough for a lit room: The glow stays clearly visible with the lights on, and looks even more striking in the dark.
How to Use
- Place the lamp on a flat, stable, dry surface. Make sure the glass sphere is properly seated on the base before powering on. Never run the lamp without the sphere.
- Connect the power adapter and plug it in.
- Slowly turn the dial until the plasma forms.
- Adjust the dial to the brightness and ring thickness you like. A moderate setting is ideal for long viewing.
Safety & Care
- Glass sphere: Safe to touch. It warms up during use, so avoid keeping your hand on it for long periods.
- Base: The enclosed base is safe to touch.
- Turn the lamp off and unplug it before moving it. The sphere is large and heavy, so carry it with both hands.
- Handle the sphere with care, especially the sealed glass tip on top.
- Keep the lamp in a dry, well-ventilated spot. It is not waterproof.
- People with pacemakers or other implanted medical devices should keep a distance while the lamp is on.
- Keep away from children and pets. Recommended for ages 16+.
- Use only the original power adapter. Do not disassemble: the lamp contains high-voltage circuitry and a sealed low-pressure glass sphere.

Size Guide
| Version | Sphere | Base footprint | Widest point | Height (with sphere) | Weight |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Xenon / Krypton / Neon | 166mm / 6.5" | 150 × 150mm | 166mm (sphere) | [TBC] | 1850g |
| Xenon | 200mm / 7.9" | 150 × 150mm | 200mm (sphere) | [TBC] | 2037g |
Note: The sphere is wider than the base, so allow about 170mm (6.7") of width for the 166mm size and 205mm (8.1") for the 200mm size.

FAQ
Which gas should I choose for my Glow Ring Reactor?
Choose Xenon for the classic purple plasma ring, Krypton for soft pink plasma beads, or Neon for a warm red glow. The 200mm size is available in Xenon only.
What's the difference between the Glow Ring Reactor and the Plasma Ring Light?
The Glow Ring Reactor is the large version, with a 166mm or 200mm sphere for display spaces. The Plasma Ring Light uses a 90mm or 130mm sphere and fits easily on a desk.
How long can the Glow Ring Reactor run?
Run time and heat depend on the power setting. At a moderate setting, it is designed for extended use. Higher settings make it run hotter, so use maximum power only briefly.
Is the Glow Ring Reactor safe to touch?
Yes. The glass sphere and the enclosed base are both safe to touch. The sphere warms up during use, so avoid holding it for long periods.
How is the Glow Ring Reactor different from a regular plasma ball?
A plasma ball shows random lightning arcs. The Glow Ring Reactor forms a stable plasma shape, such as the xenon ring, and you can adjust its brightness and thickness with the dial.
Which plug will I receive?
We ship the plug type that matches your country, based on your shipping address.
What is the warranty on the Glow Ring Reactor?
Every Glow Ring Reactor comes with a 6-month warranty. If you have any issue, contact us at service@stirlingkit.com.
