WOLFBUSH SH-01 CH-53E Super Stallion — the scale heavy-lift helicopter that holds its position for you

A 1:52 scale CH-53E with a working rear cargo door and lighting, flown by a GPS + optical-flow flight controller. It hovers in place when you let go of the sticks and can fly itself home — so you can enjoy a realistic military helicopter without first mastering manual hovering.

Why Pilots Choose the SH-01

🛰️ Hovers on its own, returns on its own

GPS, compass, optical flow and barometer work together to hold position and altitude. One-key return to home, automatic return on low battery or signal loss, one-key landing and an electronic geofence keep the helicopter within reach.

🚁 Real CH-53E look, working cargo door

Detailed injection-molded fuselage (hot-runner process) with lighting effects and a functional rear cargo door. The fuselage material is flexible and tough enough for everyday handling and minor bumps.

⚙️ Brushless power, flybarless head

3111 810KV brushless main motor (magnets rated to 150°C) and a 1204 7000KV brushless tail motor for steady tail hold. Direct drive, flybarless design and a CNC-machined rotor head and swashplate mean fewer moving parts to wear or break.

📟 Flight data on the transmitter screen

2.4GHz radio with two-way communication, 1024-level resolution and a built-in display showing battery level, speed, altitude, distance, heading and GPS satellite count in real time.

Is It Right for You?

  • Good fit: pilots moving up from small toy helicopters, scale/military model collectors who want a helicopter that also flies, and experienced pilots who want a relaxed scale flyer.
  • Start in GPS mode: fly your first batteries in GPS stabilization mode in an open outdoor area, then try optical-flow and manual stabilization modes as your confidence grows.
  • Age 16+. This is a hobby-grade helicopter with a 405mm spinning rotor — please keep a safe distance from people and pets.

Flight Modes & Smart Functions

Mode / Function What it does for you
GPS stabilization Locks position and altitude outdoors; the helicopter stops and hovers when you center the sticks.
Optical-flow assisted Uses a downward camera sensor to help hold position at low altitude.
Manual stabilization Gyro-stabilized attitude with more pilot control, for practising traditional helicopter flying.
One-key return / landing Brings the helicopter back to the take-off point or lands it with one switch.
Low-battery & signal-loss return Returns home automatically when the battery runs low or the radio link is lost.
Electronic geofence Limits how far the helicopter can fly from you.
One-key figure-eight & circle Flies preset patterns automatically — great for filming and showing off the scale look.

Which Battery Option Should I Choose?

Each 7.4V 2800mAh battery gives about 9–12 minutes of flight and takes about 60 minutes to recharge with the USB charger. With one battery you will spend more time charging than flying, so most pilots choose 2 or 3 batteries for a full flying session.

Option Approx. flight time per session
With 1 battery 9–12 minutes
With 2 batteries 18–24 minutes
With 3 batteries 27–36 minutes

Flight time varies with wind, temperature and flying style. The battery is rated for over 500 charge cycles under normal use.

WOLFBUSH SH-01 CH-53E FAQ

Can a beginner fly the WOLFBUSH SH-01 CH-53E?

Yes, if you start in GPS stabilization mode. The SH-01 holds its position and altitude on its own, and one-key return and landing help you recover if you get disoriented. Fly your first batteries outdoors in an open space with little wind, then move on to the other modes when you feel comfortable.

Does the SH-01 CH-53E come ready to fly?

Yes. This is the RTF version — the helicopter comes fully made and set up with its 2.4GHz transmitter, battery and USB charger. Charge the battery, read the manual and you are ready for your first flight.

Can I fly the SH-01 CH-53E indoors?

GPS position hold needs an outdoor satellite signal, and the 405mm rotor needs plenty of space, so we recommend flying the SH-01 outdoors. Optical-flow assisted mode helps hold position at low altitude, but please still choose a large, clear area.

What happens if the SH-01 loses signal or the battery runs low?

The SH-01 returns to its take-off point automatically on signal loss or low battery. The transmitter screen also shows battery level, distance and GPS satellite count, so you can keep an eye on things during the flight.

Are the three SH-01 colors different in performance?

No. Dark Gray, Light Gray and Desert Yellow share the same specifications and flight system — only the fuselage color is different. Choose the one that matches the CH-53E look you like best.

Is the CH-53E's rear cargo door really functional?

Yes. The rear cargo door on the SH-01 opens and closes, adding to the realistic CH-53E Super Stallion appearance on the ground and in display.
