This 16cc engine operates on the classic Otto four-stroke thermodynamic cycle, turning alcohol fuel into synchronized mechanical motion. Through the transparent cylinder, you can visually follow every stage of operation:
The intake valve opens as the piston moves downward, pulling the atomized air-alcohol mixture from the carburetor into the transparent chamber.
Both valves seal shut as the piston ascends, compressing the fuel mixture into the combustion chamber to maximize potential thermal energy.
The spark plug ignites the pressurized fuel. The resulting rapid expansion drives the piston down, transferring kinetic energy directly to the crankshaft and flywheel.
The exhaust valve opens as the piston rises once more, sweeping out combustion gases through the exhaust header to prepare for the next intake cycle.
Liquid Cooling Dynamics: Simultaneously, the belt-driven water pump circulates coolant through the transparent cooling jacket around the cylinder wall, actively absorbing heat and dissipating it via the radiator to maintain optimal operating temperatures.
