Question:
Does the Toyan V8 WPGC engine not require separate lubrication oil and instead use a mixture of 2-stroke oil and gasoline for lubrication? Also, this engine has 4 coolant ports. The user manual mentions only one inlet and one outlet, so does installing the cooling system basically require connecting only 2 of the 4 ports? Can the remaining 2 ports be simply sealed with screws?

Answer:

Lubrication: The Toyan V8 WPGC engine uses a premixed fuel made of gasoline and 2-stroke oil at a 25:1 ratio for lubrication. No additional lubrication oil needs to be added separately. The mixed fuel both combusts and lubricates inside the engine, ensuring normal operation of all moving parts.

Coolant Ports and Circulation: The engine has 4 coolant ports in total. Although the user manual highlights the inlet and outlet ports, to ensure effective coolant circulation, all 4 ports should be connected to the cooling water system. The coolant continuously circulates along the designed path. For detailed coolant flow direction, please refer to the diagram on the SK blog, where blue arrows clearly indicate the coolant circulation route.

Sealing Ports: It is not recommended to seal the extra 2 coolant ports with screws. Blocking any ports disrupts the coolant flow, reduces cooling efficiency, and may cause localized overheating, affecting engine performance and lifespan. The correct approach is to connect all coolant ports as shown in the manual and reference diagrams to ensure smooth water flow.
