Why is my item on this page?
Either it sold out and a new batch is on the way, or it's a new release still in its first production run. Either way, it takes more than 7 days to ship. Your order is reserved and ships as soon as the item is ready.
Why should I pre-order instead of waiting for stock?
Many items are made in small, limited batches — for example, a run of only 50 units. When a batch sells out, the item may not come back at all, or the next run only starts once enough orders are collected to meet the factory's minimum order quantity (MOQ). That second wait is usually much longer than the first. Pre-ordering secures your unit from the batch that's already in production. Items marked Limited batch below are the ones most likely to sell out.
Why do some items ship right away while others take longer?
Some models are produced in advance and kept in stock. Complex engines and new releases are often made in batches: the factory needs a minimum order quantity and specialized parts before production can start, and each batch then has to be built, tested and packed. A restock can take up to two months depending on materials and scheduling. Some parts are also made or finished by hand rather than CNC-machined — these items are marked Handcrafted and take longer per unit.
What do the progress steps mean?
1 Production — the batch is being made at the factory (machining, casting, painting). 2 Quality Check — finished units are inspected and tested. 3 Packing — items are boxed and prepared for shipment. 4 To Warehouse — the batch is on its way to our warehouse and ships to you as soon as it arrives. Items marked In development & testing are still being tested before mass production starts.
Is the date guaranteed?
It's our best estimate. If a batch fails a test or parts arrive late, it can move. When a date changes, we update it here first — check the "Last updated" date at the top.
Will I get a tracking number?
Yes. As soon as your order ships, we email you the tracking number. You can also check it on the Track Your Order page.
My item isn't listed here. Where is it?
Then it's in stock and ships within our normal handling time. If you haven't received tracking after a few business days, please contact us with your order number.
Can I cancel or change my order while I wait?
Please contact us with your order number before the item ships. See our Refund & Return policy for details.
How fast does customer service reply?
We reply to every email within 24 hours (excluding weekends and holidays). Because of the time difference, replies may arrive overnight for you. If you haven't heard back after 24 hours, please resend your message to service@stirlingkit.com.
