T-700 Turboshaft Engine Build Review

The T-700 Turboshaft engine model is awesome!
The scale metal parts simulate the engine's mechanical movement and design. The kit was meticulously packaged in a beautiful box with protected layers housing the parts. Tools are also included to help with the assembly. The instruction manual is very clear and easy to follow in the assembly sequence. We presented the built kit at the Cincinnati Scale Modelers show and the attendees found it very interesting and were intrigued by its quality and functionality. Attendees learned about turbofan functionality, and it was fun showing them the different throttle speeds available. One of our club members is a retired U.S. Navy helicopter pilot, and he flew helicopters powered by this engine. He was amazed at its accuracy and design quality.
The kit went together in multiple sub-assemblies, and the fit is very good. Several power tests along the way ensured proper assembly with the lights coming on and the gears turning. It took about 4 hours to assemble, and it is highly recommended for hours of enjoyment and learning.
This is a great kit for any model builder, and it is also a valuable education piece for someone learning about engines, and aviation.
Also, a perfect addition to any STEM class!

Excellent Engineering

Nice little model and very well engineered. I bought a battery pack and made it into a stand with some stainless steel supports made from 3/16 stainless steel screws and nuts

Airwolf V3 with ACE

I absolutely love my Airwolf heli. The ACE flight controller and the newly configured stick positions on the radio are a huge improvement. The introduction of "Soft", "Normal" and "Sport" are also great new features. I highly recommend this RTF heli kit.

Bell 412 V4

Just received the Bell 412 and all I can say is "Awesome" very stable in high winds, I test flew in 15mph and it was rock solid. Detail is gorgeous and the paint scheme is a piece of art in it's self. The only thing I didnt like was the factory default white skids, I painted mine yellow to match the full-size Heli, I think it just makes it look a little bit more professional.

Very Nice Steam Engine

This was my first time purchasing something like this and I must say the quality is amazing. I can't believe how nice the pieces / unit is. Very impressed. The directions were great and easy to follow as well. Also impressed with Stirling Kit also. The customer service and my overall experience has been great. I have been so impressed I have placed multiple orders since this order.

Cison Tachometer

The Cison tach is a must have, it takes all the guess work out of tuning your engine.
It's small size makes it easy to install in models or engine stands.
The bright high definition display is easy to read and looks fantastic.
I absolutely love this tach it look like the real deal, actually works, and is so easy to use it makes tuning way easier
You need to order the temp sensor separately about 10 bucks on Amazon.
My only regret is not ordering sooner.👌
Thank you to the Stirlingkit team for your fast shipping and amazing customer service 👏 🙏👍

What a great little engine

This B01 engine is so well made, that is easily starts now, with a few flicks of the wrist on the flywheel (i.e. hand turning). I run it with Zippo 12FC Lighter Fluid.

Guter Heli! 🙂 Fliegt perfekt.

Danke für die schnelle und unkomplizierte Lieferung! Alles lief bestens und das Modell ist richtig toll!

Premium base kit for Toyan V8 FS-V800WGPC

Great looking base, with everything you need to get the engine going. The inbuilt cooling water tank is a great idea, except for one small thing. It doesn’t have a pickup pipe in the tank. Cannot see how the suction pipe would work, the threaded section of the tank (base top) is 8mm thick, the threaded section of the pipe connector is 4mm long, just going to suck air. I made a metal pipe to screw into the tank so the 2 water pumps can suck water at all times. I have let Toyan know, let’s see if they supply a pickup pipe in the future. Otherwise it’s a great kit.

Low buck high quality.

A very highly detailed engine that can be run or displayed as a work of art. The engine is accurate right down to the slide valve intake. The initial adjustment to the carburetor is a bit tricky but once set it runs very reliably even at slower speeds. The only issue I have found is the cylinder sleeve o-rings do leak if the cooling tank cover is left on and the engine is run for long periods. Leave the cover off when running the engine. Leave the cover off until the engine cools off. I liked this engine enough I bought three.

Smooth Flyer

This is a great-looking scale heli. The custom molded case it comes in makes for a great appearance, however, it’s unfortunate that it is not large enough to accommodate the heli with the blades installed. I took it out for its first flight today, and I was impressed at how smooth it was. It did not leap up suddenly off the ground, and made for a great scale-heli flight.

Great little addition to the HM-01

I was wanting to add wheels to my existing HM-01 and this addition doesn't disappoint. It was easy to add the wheels, they even provided a drill, as you have to drill the HM-01 sled to mount the wheels. Might have been nice to also include an allen-key (but I have many). A quality addition to the HM-01.

Simply delightful and authentic

This this B0-1 engine is absolutely delightful and a pleasure to operate. I poured over every detail of it after its arrival for like 5 hours and found the workmanship and fits to be superb. Mine was a low serial number and possessed the "monitor" monogram highlighted in gold and it truly set the model apart from the many others that I own. This one is a terrific acheivement and serious engine enthusiasts should take notice.

SO-MUCH-FUN! Stirlingkit WL 1/64 FPV Car! 6⭐️STARS!

I recently received my 1/64 mini FPV car from Stirlingkit and knew it would be cool… but OMG it’s a blast! It charges fast using the included USB-C cable, takes about 20 min to fully charge. It includes a QR code to download the app That has all of the car and cameras adjustments and controls…. The app is laid out just like an RC car controller! 2 sticks, one for throttle and one for steering, but it also let you adjust the trim rates for the steering and throttle, and once the throttle trim is adjusted, the car is really quick!
There is a LOT of technology in this little car. I grew up w’ Hot Wheels 😂

The FPV resolution is awesome. I would’ve never thought it would’ve been as clear as it is.
Super easy to use, and anyone and everyone of any age would love it.
My girlfriend wants a turn every time she hears me playing w’ it… gonna have to order one for her haha !

Fantastic Goosky Helicopter

Goosky males this beautiful model. This is the GPS version. They fixed the unfortunate tendency of the non-GPS version to blow the tail out at high headspeeds. This one is stable. Highly detailed. Flies extremely well. They seem to have added some expo into the programming compared to the prior version which is an improvement.

I absolutely live this version. And outstanding purchase.

Excellent complément pour le très beau moteur MUSA F1

Stirling Kit nous propose toujours de superbes articles et ce silencieux complète admirablement le moteur MUSA F1 qui ne demande plus qu'à être installé dans un modèle réduit à sa hauteur !

Beginner-Friendly but Feels Pro-Level! Recommend

“I’ve been flying the Wolf Bush AW911 Airwolf for a bit now, and I gotta say—it’s seriously cool. The detail on this thing is nuts: rivets everywhere, machine guns on both sides, rocket launchers underneath, and that classic black and white paint job with a shark mouth up front. It’s not exactly the old-school Airwolf from the TV show, but it’s got its own vibe and looks awesome in the air.

What really surprised me is the GPS. For a small heli like this, having GPS is a game changer. You take your hands off the sticks and it just stays put—no drifting, even if it’s a bit windy. And when the battery gets low? It literally flies itself back and lands near where it took off. That’s wild.

There’s also this switch that makes it fly auto figure-8s and circuits, which is great if you’re new or just lazy like me and wanna look like a pro. And yeah, you can even fly it indoors by switching off GPS mode—perfect for when you can’t get a good signal.

Overall, it’s just a super fun, easy-to-fly heli that looks great and has way more features than I expected. I’m having a blast with it.”

Toyan...Good job you guys!

Everyone hates on Toyan, from what I have heard engines have had many problems. And it seemed they werent going to hear the people. I was looking at my new Gen 2 toan V8 and realized. If they truly didn't care. They would have left us at the first v8. And called it a day. But they didn't. They went though and re-built this whole engine. Adjustable rocker arms. Full crankshaft and cam support, 25:1 fuel mix for loads of oiling, dual piston rings! Every engine at least needs 2! It runs on gas! Thank you toyan!!! I hope they have seen my videos on it. See what can be toyed with and improved. Making this engine perfect. I truly beleve Toyan can be the perfect company for beginners engines. This V8 is the perfect start. It was so simple. And fit together perfectly. No stripped bolts either. I hope they make more engines! V6! Straight 6!

I know its scary. But even my engine runs beautifully. I haven't ran into 1 person who has had an issue. Yes, my gears lost teeth. But they already are working on getting me new parts. Thats a huge plus in my book.

Give it a shot. You'll love this little V8

Great little DC generator

I built a little stand-alone accessory unit that included both this DC generator and a KACIO B30-1 Mini Centrifugal Pump to be used by my current gas and steam engines from Stirlingkit. Added a LED strip and a capacitor (to minimize flickering). Note: this generator will run as a motor when 12v DC is applied.
Only downside -it took 30 days to receive this unit from China to the US.

22 Years Later: Finally Got My First V8!

22 years ago, many of you were probably already playing with high-end model engines, but back then, I couldn't even dream of owning a V8 engine. Fresh out of school, I had just started out in the real world, hustling every day just to make ends meet. I remember one year, my uncle suggested I check out opportunities in California. I took a train from Mississippi—it cost over 300 bucks and took several days. I wondered, Why can't I just fly? I asked my dad, and he said, "No way, plane tickets are crazy expensive—tens of thousands of dollars."

Later on, my cousin, who had been working for a while, told me it wasn't actually that bad—a ticket was around 600 bucks. With the $2,000 my parents gave me, I found a job that covered food and housing. Back then, I kept thinking, Can I really handle this life? Meanwhile, a lot of you had probably already experienced way more than I had.

That's what Toyan is like—it gives people like me, who started from the bottom, a chance to get into something you guys have been enjoying for years. It showed me that life has so many possibilities, that there are products out there that are just that good. Now, I can finally afford them. Work hard enough, and you can make it happen.

Take the Toyan V8 engine, for example. I finally get to experience it firsthand. Yeah, a thousand bucks isn't cheap, but compared to what's out there, it's a solid deal. Some people say Toyan is expensive, but think about it—the best alternatives cost over ten grand, and those are either handmade models or plastic replicas that don’t even run. For a fully functional, all-metal V8 engine, this price is absolutely worth it. I thought about getting the Cison V8, but that one’s two grand.

22 years ago, I never thought I'd be here. Now, I'm building this thing with my own hands, hearing the engine roar, watching it come to life. This V8 isn't just a model to me—it's proof of how far I've come.

Maybe you've had stuff like this for years, maybe it's nothing new to you. But for me? It's a big deal. It's something I never thought I'd own, and now, here I am.

Fantastic First Heli

I have owned over a dozen helicopters and the ERA C138 is by far the smoothest and easiest to fly of the bunch. Very stable, flies great indoors or out, no bad manners and a great price. I bought the camo version and it looks great.

Ottimo set

E' un ottimo set, ben fatto e curato.

Very good V8 running model engine kit at a great price

I am building my Toyan V8 and am very impressed with it, especially considering the price. The packing and sorting of all the many parts is impressive; there were no missing parts and the parts were all very clean and well made. The manual is brief but accurate and well illustrated. The Toyan engineers had to make compromises to keep the cost and complexity down but it looks like they did a great job.
There is a lot of work to be done and some extra parts to purchase before you will have a running engine. If you enjoy building things and can deal with a lot of fiddly little parts then the Toyan V8 can be a lot of fun to construct. Just keep at it, follow the manual and double check your work.

GS L4 turbo kit installation

My turbo kit came with oil lines to the central bearing. These lines do not show up on any of the turbo illustrations and there are no instructions. I noticed there is a small screw on the side of the block that seemed to provide access to an oil passage to the head. I removed the screw and cranked the engine and indeed oil came out. The fitting with the small screw threads into this hole and the fitting with the large screw obviously goes into the cam cover. I positioned the lower fitting to keep the oil line away from the exhaust manifold. This arrangement seems to work. (see the close-up p9cture) I will shorten the oil lines to make them neater once I am satisfied no modifications will be needed.

To complete the engine set up I made a coolant reservoir out of (mainly) one-inch copper plumbing parts. This provides a convenient way to fill the cooling system as well as a reserve water supply.
