Great product! They shipped it quickly to start with and arrived in quality packaging. The kit itself was clearly extremely well manufactured. Precisely machined parts! Only other comment would be that the instructions could be better for the complete amateur like myself! Overall, excellent!!
Have had my lister D for 2 weeks now. It arrived in perfect condition. It starts easily, but you do need to crank it at a fast speed, and check that the spark plug lead is making contact with the spark plug. The instructions say 5/10 ml of engine oil, but 10 ml is too much and you will have oil leaks from the crank shaft. Reduce to 5 ml and you won’t have a problem.
The engine will run for at least 40 minutes on a full tank of fuel. I have run mine for 5 hours now without any problem. Have changed the oil once.

You might like it cheaper but it's solid and the box is big. Add retailer margin, and you'll see why this small-run product of this quality is not cheaper. Mine could have used different screws as the holes for the ignition box seemed too short and the engine mounting holes too big. Tiny issue. Easily fixed. Built VERY solid
Quite an advanced subject to model and here in mid 2026 OKMO and Retrol have gone the "extra mile" with superb design, excellent quality, great paint, useful accessories and a fun experience adding the kart. This would be a tricky engine to build and tune and I'm glad Jin at OKMO didn't rush. WORTH THE WAIT - a most recognizable vintage engine!

This is a true turbo fan engine that uses air start like the real jet engines!
This is a model, it will not fly a plane nor was it intended to , you can not start up a real model jet engine in the house, this one you can!
Very realistic, it pics up speed after it lights off, compressor section in model works.
Very quality build, it sounds great and takes me back to the 80s on flight line working on the A-10s 🤠
All I can say is this is a sweet Hit and Miss engine. Assembly was straight forward. Fit and finish is good. It starts and runs quite well. Had a small issue with the ignition module (CDI). It crapped out, but that happens sometimes with new electronic components. Stirlingkit is sending a replacement.
The solar powered diffuser is a great addition to your vehicle or any room in your house. Very nice looks and it’s cool to watch the little flywheel spin as it fragrances the area. They make great stocking stuffer gifts for Christmas..

From the moment I pulled it out of the box you can feel the quality in the weight
This is one solid unit and the gear rotation is very smooth.
I really enjoyed the plug and play setup and the installation was quick and easy the gearbox has been working great with no issues the shifting is smooth and the gears have good engagement.
This Cison gearbox and V8 combo is perfect to install into a SCX6 chassis.
You can make it go faster if you are making a 2WD hotrod like I am.
This is a great addition to the Cison V8 engine and now makes it easy to install in a RC.

After building the Semto twin cylinder engine I decided to add the 2-in-1 upgraded exhaust pipe, and I really like the look of the engine a lot more. Worth the money.
Absolutely Stunning RC Helicopter!
The FLISHRC Airwolf is hands down one of the best RC helicopters I’ve ever owned. The build, the details and quality are incredible the fuselage makes it look like a real . the GPS positioning works flawlessly, and it feels stable in the air. I recommend it to anyone—especially those just starting out in the world of RC!

Unboxed fuel up with coleman fuel installed a aa battery and gave it a flip of the flywheels and started and ran beautifully . All my friend's were amazed at how its runs it will have a permanent spot in the china cabinet lol
When I first opened the box, I was very surprised by the quality of the kit. The pulse jet is very well finished, and everything is included in the box. The pulse jet starts easily using a foot tyre pump and provides close to 2 Kg of trust (and it weights 850 grams).
This is a great addition to the Monitor B-01 engine. Now with this fuel tank the engine looks just like the original full size Monitor engine. Only suggestion I would make to Stirling kit is to provide a set of small open end box end wrenches for the very small metric size nuts & bolts as it was very difficult to thread the nut & bolt that holds this fuel tank to the engine. Need metric wrenches 1.5mm to 3mm.

This review is coming to you from my experience with the full size antique engines such as hit & miss and also as a machinist for a major defense company for the past 40 years who now is retired & machines & builds scale model engines as a hobby. Also been known to purchase some of the great chinese model offered by Stirling Kit. The Retrol HM-01 is just another great example that Retrol & Stirling kit have designed, machined & built. Exceptional workmanship. Great price & fast shipping service from their US warehouse. My only complaint would be the same as a few other reviews have mentioned is that the ignition timing should have been adjustable by way of a screw. Trying to bend the points tab is a pain in the butt & not very precise. Some people were adjusting the valve timing on the gears in order to change the spark timing & this is not the correct way to adjust the spark timing. So a big thank you to Stirling kit & Retrol for producing the HM-01 engine.
Taking the crown from MUSA HM-01 and blowing away Enjomor's 6cc engine, Jin from OKMO has a major success on his hands. Good stuff first - this was well packaged and decent delivery timescale, arrived undamaged.
Not so good - one flywheel loose on the axle which to be fair was an easy fix, it seemed quite stiff on the first run which I thought may be a running in issue but no, on close inspection the beam assembly was off centre causing a bit of binding. Again not in itself a major issue but I don't expect to have to do remedial work to fix what should have been picked up on a pre-delivery inspection.
Could have easily been 5 stars if not for the above.
A suggestion too - there is no drive belt pulley and I think adding one would add little to the cost and make the engine very much more useful.
From the moment it arrived, I could tell this was a premium build. The GPS features work exactly as advertised, and the heli holds its hover with ease. Battery life is solid and flight feels powerful without being twitchy. A standout product for any RC enthusiast.
