Learn How Jet Engines Work with 3D Printed FJ33-5A Engine | Personal Wings

In the impression of many friends, Cirrus seems to only produce propeller aircraft, and has never manufactured jet private aircraft. Today I will introduce a SF50 jet produced by Cirrus to my friends. It was the first certified single-engine jet civilian aircraft in the United States.

Cirrus Corporation of the United States is an aircraft manufacturer that started out with the production of single-engine small propeller sports aircraft. Cirrus plays an important role in the field of single-engine aircraft manufacturing. The SF50 private jet from Cirrus combines the features of a single-engine aircraft and a jet. Few aircraft ever come out that require a fundamental leap in design and operational efficiency, but the SF50 delivers.

The Cirrus SF50 jet private jet is powered by a Williams FJ33-5A turbofan engine. The engine is mounted near the top of the plane and its nozzle is angled slightly upwards so that it doesn't burn the fuselage. The engine starting process of the SF50 aircraft is very simple. All you need to do is turn the dial on the left side of the dashboard to "Run" and click the "Start" button, after which everything will be fully automated.

The FJ33-5A engine has the function of reducing fuel consumption and speed check, making the operating cost of the aircraft very low, 600 US dollars per hour. There is a single. Jet engine failures are very rare. The aircraft has a 14:1 glide ratio, up to 75 miles, and can usually reach an emergency airfield.

Although I have never been on this plane, I think you, like me, would like to see how this model aircraft engine works, right? I saw a video of @Personal Wings on youtube, he found an excellent 3D printed model of a Williams International FJ33-5A jet engine. Let's see this interesting video together.

In Stirlingkit, you can find more turbofan engine kits for sale. It's fun to build. check it out. If you prefer the all-metal engine rather than than this 3D-printed plastic engine, Teching all-metal 1/10 DIY turbofan engine model kit would be a good choice for you.
