broke first day

We assembled this per the instructions. It worked briefly, then stopped working (as in the piston wouldn't go up and down with enough force to turn the wheel). Then one of the metal parts snapped, so now its really broken. Too bad, its a cute idea.

Historical master piece

Historical piece of history & very interesting & satisfying to build & operate as I find that building my own collection of early steam history in models, very satisfying.........

Great Kit

A wonderful little kit, it took my 10 year old and me just an hour or so to build. The first time we tried it out, we were unable to get it to work. But after increasing the heat by using a larger reservoir for the alcohol fuel (an aluminum tea candle holder w/ magnet), it worked well. It is well fabricated, well designed, and fun to look at and run. Highly recommended. A note of caution, the ethanol fuel burns clear and is a fire hazard if it spills so supervision is important and it is best to run the engine on a non flammable table/bench.

Good but not to good

I think the metal parts where well made but i was working on it and all of a sudden the glass tube broke in the bottem i likes the idea of being able to see the piston go up and down they should have mad the tube out of metal in stead of plastic i spent $129 plus 30 for shiping would iv been nice if they could have given a phone number so i could call in to see if i could get a replace ment part

Precisely the way I remember it..

I like everything about it. The quality is as good as you can get. It is obvious that this is made by a company with dedicated workers, proud of what they produce. I thank everyone who touched this in the factory.
